- Sherwood Guernsey’s Peace Corps story was added to the Peace Corps Stories page of the Community Service Project. Don’t miss this great story of Sherwood’s time in Panama and the impact it had on his future.
- Minutes of the latest meeting of the Arts Legacy Committee are available for review. We’ve donated another Osamu Kobayashi painting to the Hood. The new painting along with the previously donated painting make a beautiful pair. They will be on display for a private viewing at the May 17/Green Key Weekend class meeting and mini reunion.
- Be sure to read the letter written to President Beilock supporting academic freedom at Dartmouth. The letter was written by members of the class of 1968 and signed by more than 30% of the class. The letter was featured as an ad in the digital edition of the D and appeared as a half page ad on the front page of the print edition of the D. The cost of the ad was covered by several of the people signing the letter. Read the letter using the link on the home page. If you’re interested, it’s not too late to sign (see link on home page).
- Check out the Arts Legacy Committee’s latest acquisition for the Hood, Osamu Kobayashi’s painting Angel 2024. Angel and a previous Kobayashi acquisition, Occultation will be presented during a special viewing for the Class of 1968 during our May 2025 Green Key mini reunion in Hanover. Don’t miss the opportunity to see both paintings up close and to discuss them with a Hood Museum curator.
- My apologies to David Stanley, the Head Agent for the Class of 1968. I am just now posting his report of the results of the 2023-24 DCF campaign. Please read David’s report. I think you’ll be pleased.
